Initially, I was very hesitant to start lifting weights as I was afraid I would get too big. I lost weight gradually and steadily and went down to 64 kg by mid – 2016. Proper diet, portion control and exercise was the key. Managing an infant, a full-time job and travel didn’t make my weight-loss easy. It was very difficult to follow. Having had a very bad experience with another in-home personal training service, I was apprehensive about signing up with Synergy Life Fitness at first as this was my first online fitness coaching experience. But Paul has completely earned my trust over the last year. The process from setting up a phone appointment to learning to track my exercises and nutrition has been easy and efficient. I work out 3 times a week and it has become an ingrained habit. The part I like best is that it now requires almost no willpower from me. The results speak for themselves.  I’ve gained about 20 pounds of muscle, am a lot stronger and am consistently improving on all my exercises.  Wilfred has an excellent knowledge base, communication ability and has shown me how to get the most out of my workouts. I am glad to know that there are detailed records of my progress and this helps me get through any plateaus I hit. As an athletic person since high school, I found myself going towards a very unhealthy path of overeating uncontrollably and indulging in junk food, which in turn would get me lazy, contributing to my lack of motivation, and provoking depression. I’ve been going, on and off, to the gym for the last two and a half years but without yielding any results on my body, initially. About 6 months back, I started to take Wilfred’s diet and exercise program seriously. He noticed things I was doing wrong and it was very liberating to have someone experienced guide me through correctly with no fuss. Over time, there was a significant difference on the tone of my muscles, as well as a reduction in my belly. The more difference was made, the more I was motivated to follow Wilfred’s workout plan, as well as a healthy diet- which in turn was a remarkable learning experience, as I had never paid attention to what I was actually eating. I am filled with gratitude towards Wilfred, for nudging me into the right path.
