Turning Point: Health issues were my primary reason to lose weight as I had started developing some knee issues. In the process, people said I looked much fitter and better.
What Worked For Her: I used to be 78 kg in 2015. I decided to lose some of it and started going to the gym from mid – 2015. Along with gym sessions, I also started reducing carbohydrates in my diet gradually. Gym was a mix of cardio and weights. Initially, I was very hesitant to start lifting weights as I was afraid I would get too big. I lost weight gradually and steadily and went down to 64 kg by mid – 2016. Looking back, what worked was the combination of sustained cardio, weights with healthy diet. I am very grateful to Wilfred for what he has done. My education in health was a slow process but he was very patient with me and respected me at the level I was at. It was not a miracle but it was my discipline, consistency and new health beliefs that yielded results.

Turning Point: Being a foodie, I was piling on weight. I am a simple guy who loves eating out. I love food and I cannot give it up. So I decided to even it out by cycling. But the efforts did not yield any results. This is when I came across Wilfred through his blogs. He educated me about the need to look at food as fuel for the body and not something to turn to for emotional comfort.
What Worked For Him: Proper diet, portion control and daily cycling for 1.5 hours. I started off with cycling for 3 km (baby steps are good, always!) and started setting higher goals with every day. I think the thing that motivated me to go on was that I used to set my favorite food as reward in breakfast/lunch when I achieved my daily target. I went for a weekly cheat day provided I crossed my daily targets on all days of the week. I drank 3-4 liters of water every day. I slept at 11pm and woke up at 7 am to give my body complete rest.

Turning Point: I wanted to have more energy given that my career involves a lot of travel and client interaction. I tried various diet programs but couldn’t finish any of them. Either it wanted me to eat very little, or just liquid diet. On all these crash diets, I lost some weight but regained it back immediately. This is when I came across this website.
What Worked For Her: Proper diet, portion control and exercise was the key. Managing an infant, a full-time job and travel didn’t make my weight-loss easy. It was very difficult to follow. I messaged Wilfred often to ask him if I can or cannot eat something and he was very patient with me. I realized quickly through him, how I’ll inform I was about nutrition. He made sure I was comfortable and kept making changes and giving me options which I could buy anywhere. Proper diet combined with a 30 min brisk walk made weight loss possible. I maintain my portions and don’t over indulge.

Turning Point: As an athletic person since high school, I found myself going towards a very unhealthy path of overeating uncontrollably and indulging in junk food, which in turn would get me lazy, contributing to my lack of motivation, and provoking depression. And it was around at this time that I’ve realized, in order to achieve one of my life goals, I had to be robust, and have a high rate of physical endurance.
What Worked For Him: I’ve been going, on and off, to the gym for the last two and a half years but without yielding any results on my body, initially. I would do cardio mainly and would next try to do work-outs loosely focusing on abs and arms. There was hardly or no reduction in weight. But about 6 months back, I started to take Wilfred’s diet seriously. This involved cutting down on the carbohydrates, while giving importance on achieving the necessary nutrition needed for my daily intake. When this was mixed with regular visits to the gym, with each session focusing on a particular portion of the body, there was a significant difference on the tone of my muscles, as well as a reduction in my belly. This gradually put my weight well within the BMI. The more difference was made, the more I was motivated to follow Wilfred’s workout plan, as well as a healthy diet- which in turn was a remarkable learning experience, as I had never paid attention to what I was actually eating. I am filled with gratitude towards Wilfred, for nudging me into the right path.
